Who are the Concord
Model Engineers?
The Concord
Model Engineers (CME) was established in 1953 by a diverse group of model
aircraft aficionados. We are an AMA
Chartered club #2130
Today our club members fly
every conceivable
type of model aircraft, including – Free Flight, Rubber Powered,
Gliders,
Gas and Electric. These are powered
by
a variety of Glow Fuel Engines, Electric Motors, Gas Engines, Diesel
Engines,
C02 and even rubber!
We fly at several locations in the bay
area including regular weekend flying at the Lime Ridge Open Space in Concord.
We are also responsible for the 2nd
Oldest Control Line Field in California
located at Hill Crest
Park in Concord as well. (no RC at this site)
Weekly
(Sunday) Fun Flying at the end of Court Lane, Concord
(Electric only)
Our
Club Meetings are held currently at
7:30PM on the second Tuesday of the month at the Buchanan Airport
Terminal Bldg.
(Near the Control Tower)
Anyone
and everyone is welcome to
come to our meetings.
