Flying Sites
The
Concord Model Engineers fly regularly at three
main locations – Lime Ridge Open Space, The Concord Model
Airport our Control Line Field at Hill Crest
Park and once a month
indoors at our club meetings in a gymnasium.
Below is information on the two outdoor sites with directions.
Lime Ridge Open Space

On Sunday’s a regular group
of free flight, electric RC, and glider pilots assemble at the end of
Court
Lane in Concord CA. for some fun. This is in the Lime Ridge Open Space, smack
dab in the
middle of Concord. It’s a great location for beginners,
with a nice elevation for hand launches and is usally
maintained very well by the park services for us.

Directions From
Hwy 680 - take the Treat Blvd. exit headed east, Go east on Treat Blvd. 3.8 mls.
to Cowell
Rd. turn left,
Go North
West on Cowell
Rd. ~1ml. (just past the 1st signal light) turn
left on Court Lane
Go all the
way to the end and park under the wires.

2nd oldest Control Line Field!
Located at the Corner of Olivera & Peralta
Rd at Hillcrest Park in Concord, CA, this excellent facility is CME”s pride and joy.
We have regular scheduled flying and a annual picnic at this great site!
